Dave Carhart started Star Painting and Wallcovering in 1984, after learning the trade as a Merchant seaman. The family owned-and-operated company relies on its loyal clientele for 80% of its business. As Dave says, “I make my customers happy!”

This customer base has helped Dave build Star into the region’s premier painting and wallcovering company, servicing Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania. His crew also works in New Jersey, traveling to more distant locations on an individual basis.

When Dave first started Star Painting, he and his small crew provided painting services only. Then he added custom wallcoverings, then a designer and color consultant and carpenters. Today, he offers a wide swath of services by his experienced, well-trained team. “Everyone who works with me is a full-time, skilled craftsman,” Dave says, “with many years of experience.”
